Matthias Löwe is engaged in workshops, talks and festivals in association with the Initiative Creative Gaming to establish an artistic and creative use of games. At PLAY – he is curating the exhibition and in charge of the festival-design. Next to Creative Gaming, he is researching playful interaction and procedural rhetoric as an interaction designer, is staging analog game jams and game culture events with the team from Gamestorm Berlin and is an active member of A MAZE., where he co-organized the first European and the first African indie games festival and presented the Night of Machinima in theaters across the globe. He is also co-organizing the German Code Week since its beginnings and develops playful workshops about democracy with the Demokratielabore at Open Knowledge Foundation Germany.

A few of his personal video game highlights are “Jurassic Park: Trespasser”, “Mass Effect”, and “Psychonauts”.
